GRAPHICS R US: I really hope it’s just Fox Sports 1 that has the new graphics. Yes, I want to see the running order. No, I don’t want to see the running order take up what seems like half the screen. Bring the crawl back. I want to see speeds, laps behind, etc. If you must use a pylon, make it two columns with the position and car number. You know, like ESPN did back in the ’80s. And I’m not interested in how many laps to go until the final ten laps. When you show something like 89 laps to go, and the announcer says someone pitted on lap 284, I have no frame of reference to know where that pit stop occurred in relation to what lap they’re on now.

THE MORE, THE NOT SO MERRIER: The only announce team of three that worked was Bob Jenkins, Benny Parsons, and Ned Jarrett.  A crew chief really isn’t needed in the booth. Have a play-by-play announcer and a driver for color commentary. Right now there are basically three play-by-play announcers in the booth, and they walk all over each other.
