\ngetting tired of his childish behavior.<\/p>\n

LEAD CHANGES<\/b>: I think there were 18 official lead
\nchanges at Indy. In reality, there were only 4 true passes for the lead. Every
\nother "lead change" occurred during cautions or green flag pitting…
\nor when Bobby Labonte ran out of gas.<\/p>\n
I don’t know what it is, but I know it’s not racing.<\/p>\n
THE REPORT<\/b>: Seems like everyone but the folks who
\nreally matter knows what’s going to be in the Earnhardt accident report. The
\nFlorida paper (that’s been more part of the story than "objective"
\njournal) seems to think they have a scoop and have released what they say is in
\nthe report.<\/p>\n
Folks, all they’re interested in doing is selling
\nnewspapers. They don’t give a flip about why or how Dale Earnhardt died. If you
\ngo to their web site, or buy there paper, you’re supporting them in their
\nanti-racing coverage.<\/p>\n
MOST POPULAR DRIVER<\/b>: I see where Bill Elliott has
\nremoved his name from the ballot in voting for the Most Popular Driver Award, in
\nfavor of fans voting for Dale Earnhardt.<\/p>\n
To me, this proves just how much of a farce this
\n"award" really is. Elliott’s fan club has basically stuffed the ballot
\nbox for the last decade, assuring him of the award. Now Elliott has in effect
\ntold his fans to vote for Dale Earnhardt. <\/p>\n
OFF WEEK<\/b>: The Winston Cup cars are off this
\nweekend. But the drivers are in Watkins Glen, running cars that are built for
\nroad courses and sit collecting dust the rest of the year.<\/p>\n
No, I realize that this is a Winston Cup race, but if the
\nracing on ovals the last few races has been bad, you can expect it to be even
\nworse on the road course. NASCAR could give Texas its second race and a new
\ntrack a first race by getting rid of the road courses on the schedule.<\/p>\n
RACE IN RACING<\/b>: I’m not sure what’s worse:
\ndenying a person a chance at racing because they’re black, or denying them a
